We really wanted to have a special way of remembering our dear friend Debbie
Debbie joined the Liver Unit at Birmingham Children's Hospital in 1989. In 2002 she joined the Specialist Nurse Team. She became an intregral part of the team and brought so much knowledge and experience to the post.
Debbie was a keen supporter of allied health professional education through her involvement with the International Small Bowel Symposium Allied Health Professional study days.
We felt that the setting up of an annual scholarship for allied health professionals involved with caring for children with liver and/or small bowel disease including transplantation would be a fitting tribute to her memory.
