The Children’s Liver Fund
supports children and young people with liver disease

In 2006, a team of 23 young transplant patients from the Birmingham Children’s Hospital won 27 gold, 22 silver and 15 bronze medals at the British Transplant Games. Harriet won a gold medal for the second year in a row.

Harriet's Story
Harriet was born with a rare liver disease, biliary atresia, which causes the bile to be trapped into the liver poisoning the whole body. She nearly died but now after successful transplantation, Harriet is enjoying life like other healthy children of her age.

Unlike many larger charities we provide financial and practical help directly to families in need, support education and research initiatives to improve knowedge and care for patients.
